Cardi B Missed Out on Call of Duty Deal

In an epic case of actions having consequences, Cardi B took to Twitter to share she dropped a multimillion-dollar Call of Duty bag. Her deal with the Activision franchise fell through due to her ongoing court case. She delivered a message to fans, saying “lesson learned” after informing fans she couldn’t take the deal.

On September 15, the rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment for a fight at a New York City strip club in 2018. The judge sentenced the rapper to 15 days of community service. Cardi B released a statement, taking responsibility for the incident:

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it's a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most—the music and my fans.”

In July Cardi B released “Hot Shit” featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk, promoting the October 28 release of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare II. Throughout the video, you can see Cardi wearing a Call of Duty-inspired custom diamond necklace designed by Omar the Jeweler.

The “WAP” and “Bodak Yellow” rapper has been candid about her past and often talks about growth. This time her past caused her to fumble a huge bag. “Guys think twice about those quick decisions!” she said in her tweet.
