"Smallville" Actress Linked to Sex Trafficking Cult
Allison Mack, who played Chloe Sullivan in Smallville was named the #2 person in charge of a dangerous, fake BDSM cult.
When people think of sex trafficking, they usually conjure up images of women and children being kidnapped from underdeveloped countries. Anyone can become a victim, including celebrities and aspiring actors. And anyone can be the perpetrators.
In 2005, Allison Mack and co-star Kristen Kreuk attended a self-help seminar led by Keith Raniere. While Kreuk is said to have severed ties with the Raniere and the Nxivm (pronounced “Nexium”) in 2012, Mack is listed as a co-conspirator and said to have been Raniere's main slave. Nxivm's former publicist, Frank Parlato, said Mack was used to "lure" other women to join the secret "sorority" called DOS (Dominant Over Submissive). He also said "she went from slave to slave master".
Raniere's actions are what people in the BDSM lifestyle warn newcomers about. According to the warrant for Raniere's arrest, he manipulated and entrapped women into extreme "master-slave" relationships where he blackmailed women into having sex with him. Former members of Nxivm said that they were to refer to Raniere as "The Vanguard" and were branded on their genitals with a combination of his initials.
Raniere was arrested March 26, 2018 at a Mexican villa he was renting at $10,000 a week. He was accompanied by Nxivm's co-founder, Lauren Salzman, Loreta Garza, Nicki Clyne and Allison Mack. Mack is expected to be arrested next as a co-conspirator, a far cry from her role as Chloe Sullivan on Smallville.
