FAQ – GNL Magazine
What is GNL Magazine?
GNL Magazine is a woman-led gaming and tech blog delivering quick game guides, honest reviews, and spotlights on indie games—especially from marginalized developers. We also cover geek culture, tech gear, and fandom life.
What does GNL stand for now?
GNL originally stood for Geeky Nerdy Ladies, but it’s evolved to also mean Grown-N-Leveling—a nod to our readers who are adulting hard and gaming harder. It’s still woman-centered, but open to all.
Who is GNL Magazine for?
GNL is for gamers of all genders who want content that’s smart, inclusive, and hype-free. Our core audience includes women, femmes, BIPOC, queer gamers, and allies who value good games and good community.
What kind of content do you publish?
We focus on:
Fast, practical game guides
Video game and product reviews
Mobile and PC gaming tech
Indie game showcases, especially by underrepresented devs
Geek culture content without the misogyny
Do you review games and products?
Yes. We offer honest reviews—no paid fluff. We review video games, accessories, mobile phones, PCs, and other gear relevant to gamers and geek life.
Can I pitch you a game or collab?
Absolutely. We’re especially interested in covering indie games, especially those made by developers from marginalized communities. Reach out through our contact page or media kit.
Are you still focused on women in gaming?
Always. Our content is led by women and centers women’s perspectives in gaming and tech—but our platform is for everyone who supports that mission.
Do you accept contributors?
Yes! If you’re a gamer, writer, streamer, or reviewer with a unique voice, especially from an underrepresented background, pitch us. Of course, this is not the same as advertising. If you want to advertise GNL click here.
