Ancient China City Builder, Thriving City: Song is Available on Steam Early Access

Experience exquisite art style, story, and strategy in the cozy, city builder Thriving City: Song from indie developer White Star Studio and publisher IndieArk, inspired by one of Ancient China’s most influential dynasties, the Zhao Song Dynasty.

In Thriving City: Song players will become immersed in building and governing a bustling city as the town’s mayor. Expand and cultivate land as you control agriculture, commerce, civil affairs, and politics. Attract tourists and balance your city’s revenue by creating thriving markets and public buildings.

Of course, governing a city comes with unique challenges. Players will need to deal with faction conflicts, diseases, and natural disasters.

As the mayor, players must keep the townspeople happy and safe as they settle into their new city and experience the rise and fall of the Song Dynasty in the game’s in-depth Story Mode.

While in Early Access, players will have access to:

  • Up to 60 hours of content - With two tutorial levels to gain familiarity with the game’s main concepts and three levels of War Mode—including the story of the Northern Song Dynasty—players will have plenty to do.

  • Endless Mode - Those who wish to stretch their creative muscles can jump into Endless Mode and experience 18 maps with over 90 types of buildings.

  • Additional content - Throughout Early Access, players can expect four more levels added to War Mode, more game systems, and the addition of the Workshop.
